A twenty-plus year veteran of the apparel wholesale and retail industries, Greg Matsunami has held merchandising, marketing and strategy roles for many global brands like Nike, Levi’s, lululemon, Speedo and Macy’s. Most recently, at the request of lululemon’s Chief Product Officer, Greg shifted career paths and started up the Change Readiness & Sustainment department at that company – leveraging his end-to-end knowledge of the business to help the Product Team navigate the extraordinary change that it was experiencing through the arrival of new executive management, the implementation of an integrated merchandise planning system, upgrading legacy Excel-based tools into its product commercialization system and go-to-market processes that were being redefined to keep up with the brand’s rapid growth and geographic expansion. In this role, Greg built internal change management capability quickly, hiring key personnel and leveraging contract services to provide critical stability in a volatile environment.
A Harvard Business School alumnus and graduate of the Procsci Change Management Certification Program, Greg understands how business works and how to turn theory into practical solutions. He has a proven track record of creating and executing comprehensive change management plans that help executives, managers and individual team members prepare for and lead through change as well as sustain new processes and behaviors that are needed to run the business.
As the principal consultant of S&R Associates, Greg is building a network of professionals in change management and related fields to deploy, as needed, depending on the scale and complexity of the proposed engagements.
The goal is to help employees move from awareness to understanding to adoption and ownership as smoothly and effectively as possible.
